In March 2013, a $5000 grant was received from the TD Canada Trust Foundation for a rooftop habitat garden at Haro Park.
The grant was provided for education for elders; installation will finish in 2013. The work completed as a result of the grant included a nature program, studies on birding/wildlife, installation of 5 huge containers and trees and shrubs (native plants) on the 2nd floor of Haro Park.
The project involved many hours of donated time (bringing the soil up the elevator not even the least of it!)
